The path

Seed is first sounds: hearing them, matching them to letters, and loving the game of it. Seedling builds CVC words and short vowels — the first real reading. Sprout brings digraphs, blends, and long vowels; sentences start to flow. Bloom tackles vowel teams, diphthongs, and multi-syllable words — fluent, expressive reading.

Where to start

Start lower than you think. A child who races through familiar material builds confidence and speed; a child dropped into material that's too hard learns to dread practice. The placement check in the app errs gentle on purpose.

Moving up

Levels unlock by mastery, not by age or calendar. Some children spend three weeks in Seedling, some three months. Both are normal.
